New Value-Added Extras For You At GCA Summer Tour Nashville - More Education & Networking Opportunities!
This June, lots of fun will be had by all during the GCA Summer Tour Nashville! The annual garden center tour schedule is shaping up, and GCA officials have added more networking and education opportunities to get your creative retailing juices flowing.
Grab & Go Container-Building Demos with Sharon Hadden: She wowed audiences at the IGC Show last summer with her energetic, inspired, wildly successful container-
building demos, now Hadden jumps on board GCA Summer Tour Nashville to reveal her latest recipes for Grab & Go container sales that will turn a fast profit at your store. Join her each day of the tour as she cranks up the creativity and fun, with all-new designs that will grab your customers’ attention and get them to go straight to your register.
In one demo, Hadden will invite several members of the audience up with her to help build container gardens. She will show you how to add plant material to a base container design in order to increase its size and price point. Bringing her hottest designs, Hadden will discuss how these Grab & Go containers increased growth for her department at Allisonville Garden & Home for a fourth year in a row.
Shade containers are the highlight of another demo, showcasing how you can add some pizazz to your shade designs with bright colors and interesting textures. Hadden will also discuss which varieties garnered the most attention - and which needed to be abandoned.
Rounding out Hadden's third on-site demo, edibles take the focus. She'll describe the recent trend toward using vegetables and herbs in her designs, and why she believes customers love them. Conifers also make great additions to Hadden's larger Grab & Go containers, keeping her profit margins high.
Shop Talk Retail Discussions: Share your thoughts on the industry’s hot-button issues with your peers during these daily facilitated conversations, modeled after the IGC Show’s popular Shop Talk Retail Discussions in the IGC Networking Lounge. It’s your opportunity to swap strategies with your fellow indies in a uniquely focused, collaborative setting and make your garden center business even stronger. Topics will include staffing issues, hiring, retaining top-performing associates and much more. Because together, we’re better.
